In 2022, their 44th festival will bring a feast of classical and contemporary music to the most beautiful city in Wales. The festival takes place during the Summer half-term from 27th May to 5th June, and includes their Royal Patron, Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee bank holiday. The Cathedral becomes a hive of musical activity under the artistic direction of Simon Pearce.
The perfect acoustic and stunning architecture of the Nave with its unique sixteenth-century oak ceiling provide a concert venue unrivalled in Wales. There are both early- and late-evening concerts featuring soloists, chamber music ensembles, choral work, jazz, and orchestral groups, and they have a series of afternoon recitals featuring the emerging stars of the future.
