Meet Santa in his spectacular subterranean Christmas Grotto for a fantastic holiday experience unlike any other! Upon entry grab a free mince pie and a glass of mulled wine or, for the small elves some hot coco. The elves will welcome you and your family onto the cable train, which will take you deep beneath to the famed Victorian Llechwedd slate mine.
Once you reach Santa’s Grotto he and his Elves will be waiting to meet you with a wrapped present. Make sure you get plenty of photos there will be lots of opportunities to take one with Father Christmas himself. You can even send him a Christmas card!
Once you’ve had your fill of the wonderful ambience, board the train and stop for a festive bite to eat at the Llechwedd Caffi before decorating your slate bauble at our craft station, ready to take prime position on the tree. If you didn’t have a chance to give Santa your letter in person, don’t forget to drop it off at the special North Pole Postbox — it’ll be ready for him when he returns from his journey to North Wales!
Before you leave, don’t forget to stop by their onsite gift store – it’s the ideal place to pick up some sweets for stocking fillers for friends and family.
