You see, Santa and his elves are at their busiest at this time of year and the workshop in the North Pole is often overflowing with toys. This is where they come in: Santa puts his trust in their organisation, which has a proud 1,100-year history of unrivalled craftsmanship, to help.
Filled with wonder and delight, it is sure to be a truly magical day out with the kids this Christmas.
The Royal Mint Christmas Experience runs everyday from Saturday, 26 November to Saturday, 24 December.
Magical Christmas Moments at The Royal Mint
For Christmas 2022, an event returns to The Royal Mint Experience that combines the creation of coins with the making of toys, as you take a tour with an extra sprinkling of festive spirit. You will discover the intriguing tale of how the tradition of hanging stockings up on Christmas Eve, ready to receive your wonderful presents on Christmas morning, was inspired by jolly old St Nicholas and a sack of gold coins. You will also step into the satellite workshop at The Royal Mint that is as warm and cosy as you would expect but with a special twist. Here, you’ll discover the different stations where the elves work hard to make the toys that will light up little faces with joy and delight on Christmas morning.
As well as meeting Santa Claus himself, your children will be able to write their Christmas letters to Santa and drop them into a special post box that ensures they land straight on his desk.
Strike Your Own Coin
Celebrate your visit with a chance to strike your very own coin, the perfect memento of your festive visit. Santa has yet to decide on this year’s coin, keep an eye out for this special announcement coming soon!
Meet Santa
Your festive tour ends with a visit to Santa’s grotto to meet Father Christmas himself. Take a photo of your child with Santa.
Café and Shop
Their on-site café will be offering a fantastic Christmas menu including mulled wine, mince pies, festive sandwiches, bratwurst and more.
In their shop you will find the perfect gift for the loved ones in your life. You can buy a luxury decoration for the Christmas tree, or a calendar to count down to the big day.

Monday-Thursday: first tour 12:00pm; last tour 8pm
Friday-Sunday: first tour 9:00am; last tour 8pm
