New, family-friendly performance of The Nutcracker will premiere by Rubicon Dance in December. An innovative variation on The Nutcracker with music by Duke Ellington has been added to a 20th century Welsh family Christmas for the first time in Wales. Rubicon Dance Company’s #NewportNutcracker showcases eight of Wales’ most dynamic dancers, choreographed by Jamiel Laurence, a former member of the Scottish Ballet, in his first full-length production.
