Brüggemann’s approach to art making often explores provocative and ironical attitudes on contemporary societies via everyday language and news headlines, a unique combination between theoretical concepts and pop imagery. For the exhibition in Mostyn, he will present work in a wide range of media, creating large installations and site-responsive works based on language, paintings and photographs. Brüggemann’s main strategy is to insert a certain pop sensibility into conceptual artistic practices.
