Nantgarw China Works is the only surviving 19th-century porcelain works in the United Kingdom. In the early years of the 19th century, the most beautiful porcelain ever created was made here by William Billingsley. Now part museum and part Art Centre Nantgarw is once again manufacturing the original softpaste porcelain. Over four hundred workshops take place at Nantgarw China Works each year including ceramics, pottery, fused glass and willow weaving.
