Chester Racetrack, founded in 1539, is the world’s oldest racecourse still in operation. Since the award’s debut in 2008, the racetrack has regularly received the Gold Standard Award from the Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), as well as the coveted title of Large Racecourse of the Year when the award was established in 2015, and again in 2018 and 2019.
