Where to find the best Brunch in Wales

We say brunch is THE essential meal of the day, check out our superb list of brunch spots to visit to finish the week on a high note…

We figured we’d sort you out with some top-notch brunch spots in Wales because we love you. Now that the suns out and 2021 has eased us out of restrictions, we can’t bear going another weekend without more breakfast/lunch hybrid meals!

Breakfast has got to be one of our favourite meals of the day, so why on earth should we settle with having it only in the AM? There’s no reason why mouthwatering pancakes drizzled in maple syrup and perfectly done runny eggs should only be socially acceptable in the mornings. And when you’ve had a tough week at work, what better way to unwind than with a few mimosas in your hands and a heavenly smoked salmon and scrambled egg baguette.

Let us guide you for the best brunch spots that will NOT disappoint with our curated list!

Grey, Cardiff

Their Boozy Brunch menu offers a bottomless supply of Prosseco, not only on the weekends but every day! You simply cannot pass up an opportunity like this. Try out their gorgeous Eton Mess, perfect for the Welsh summer where the berries are the freshest. Or if you’ve never had a full VEGAN brekkie, this is the spot to try it out! Let’s say you’re out for something a bit different to the usual fry ups and pancakes on your brunch outing, they serve a delicious middle eastern Shakshuka that is a must-try!

Bluebell Coffee & Kitchen, Swansea

This brunch lineup includes the classics that we all know and love, a full fry up, syrupy pancakes with a choice of bacon or mixed berries, avocado on toast paired with their award-winning Arabica coffee, AKA the works! They make sure to use the freshest and most organic Welsh produce in their food, without forgetting to sprinkle their Greek heritage throughout the menu! If you wanna try out some of their Greek specialities why not try their Greek-style fishcakes this Saturday, served with Tzatziki and a Greek salad on the side. And if you’re the vegan friend of the group, or gluten-intolerant don’t worry, they’ve got you covered with their inclusive menu as well!

Bill’s, Cardiff

Gather up your mates and head to the go-to brunch spot everyone loves, Bill’s in Cardiff! We are sure you will love its cosy feel with quirky intimate booths and plenty of outdoor seating perfect for summer days. Bill’s sure does make a case for burgers at lunch with their mouth-watering halloumi and avocado burgers we just can’t get enough of! And their rosemary salted fries are just the cherry on top we needed for a great start to the weekend! With such a diverse menu, there is so much for vegetarians and vegans alike so no one has to miss out on the classic pillowy pancakes at Bills!

Cosy Club, Cardiff

If you were thinking of a whole day out in Cardiff full of window shopping (or actual shopping if the bank allows it!) and wanted to get the day started on a good note, we recommend the Cosy Club, located in the heart of Wales in the St David’s shopping centre. Browse their delicious and eclectic brunch menu available until 5 pm. Seeing as though it looks like we’re stuck in the UK for the time being, why not live out your Mexican getaway fantasies through their heavenly Huevos Rancheros topped with harissa, chilli and salsa! And don’t worry you can still order dinner food at brunch if you’re feeling up for it!

Parc Pantry, Newport

Want to enjoy the luxuries of brunch but don’t want to pay a heavy price tag? Look no further than Parc Pantry in Newport! They have a great selection of food and drink for you to choose from, from fuffy American style pancakes to a delectable chicken gyro wrap stuffed with paprika fries, lettuce, tomato, pickled onions and yoghurt and mint dressing, a real mix of foods- that’s what we love to see! They are open from 10 am – 3 pm, yes they close earlier than most but it’s definitely worth giving it a chance!
