Best Keeper for the Day Experiences Wales

Here are some of our favourite animals attractions’ which are also amazing for Keeper for the Day Experiences.

Wales is full of loads of completely different Zoos, Aquariums and Animal Sanctuaries. Some of them are nice enough to let visitors get up close and personal with their residents, in a fun-filled Keeper for the Day Experience.

Plantasia Tropical Zoo

If you want to truly experience what it’s like to be a keeper at a Tropical Zoo dealing with a wide variety of different animals from across the globe. Then Plantasia’s Tropical Zoo Experience is the place to go.

During the day you will accompany an expert keeper of Plantasia on a journey throughout the tropical zoo, you’ll learn about different species and what day to day tasks a keeper is expected to complete.

You’ll get to feed loads of different animals such as meerkats, tortoises, monkeys and more.

The cost of the experience is £50 for one person or £75 for two and includes entry to Plantasia.

Participants under the age of 16 require an adult for supervision.

Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary

Find out what really goes on behind the scenes at Wales most loved monkey sanctuary by joining their team and becoming a Keeper for the Day.

Learn about the animals that you’ll meet at the sanctuary as you work with a keeper, you’ll even get to prepare food for the residents and give it to them. Most importantly you get to clean up the mess they leave behind.

Welsh Mountain Zoo

Join a Keeper as they take out their day to day tasks whilst working at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, your day will start at 10 am and will conclude at 4 pm. Included in the experience is lunch, a goody bag and a zoo t-shirt to commemorate your special day.

Manor Wildlife Park

Get stuck-in alongside the keepers of manor wildlife park caring and looking after the animal residents of the wildlife park.

This 4-hour keeper experience will let allow you to get a unique perspective into the lives of the animals at the park.
