Top Attractions to visit in February Half Term in the South West!

 We all know that half term can be a stressful time trying to keep your kids entertained, so we’re here to help!

We have a day out planned for you on every budget! Whether you’re looking for a free attraction or you don’t mind spending, there’s something for everyone!

Here’s our top picks, from museums to farms…..have a browse! 

World of Country Life have everything from bottle feeding and goat walking to ferret racing and bird of prey shows. There’s tons of activities to do which are undercover so don’t worry about the weather!

World of Country Life

Pennywell Farm has hands on activities including milking & walking goats, bottle feeding lambs, race ferrets and micro pigs and train micro pigs and goats to do agility! Pennywell Farm offer piggy cuddles all day, every day as well as a variety of other hands on activities! Make sure you visit their early spring babies including lambs, goat kids and piglets! They can’t wait for their first visitor cuddles of the season! The best thing about visiting Pennywell Farm during half term because every paying visitor will be given a return ticket valid until 24th February! So you can cuddle as many pics as you like!

Puxton Park has a different activity every day during February half term! On Monday it’s the fancy dress disco with Disco Steve! Get your best outfit on and head down! Tuesday is the arts & craft and Treasure Hunt day! Get your magnifying glasses ready to hunt for treasure! On Wednesday, the hilarious Nutty Noah will be joining the fun! Don’t miss out on Adam Allsortz who will be entertaining with crowds with magic, sweets, comedy and allsortz of fun!! On Friday, the animal team at Puxton will be hosting meet and greet sessions with some of the most cuddly animals!

Kents Cavern have an action packed February half term planned for you! Join the Stone Age gang for some prehistoric themed fun! You’ll be able to learn about Stone Age artefacts (and even handle some). You’ll also be able to make a leather pouch and scavenge through the words for resources that might help you survive the Stone Age! You can even make and decorate your own Stone Age necklace! Collect your free activity sheet to complete the Stone Age trail and you can even take part in the Ice Age Animal Hunt! There’s plenty here to keep you occupied all day!

Haynes Motor Museum are calling all amateur detectives! Take part in ‘discovery days’ by making your way to the top secret mission HQ to be given your brief! When you head to the mission HQ you will be given everything you need to help crack the case! Make sure you bring your best teammates because even the best detectives need help! Don’t miss out on an action-packed, mystery solving day out! If you need some extra clues on the day, don’t worry! Haynes super-secret agents will be on hand to help!

Folly Farm have themed days in February half term! On the 16th & 17th and 23rd & 24th February is Pirate fun day! You’ll be able to watch a pirate show and learn the pirate trade from Pembrokeshire’s legendary pirate!! The pantomime show will provide you with lots of fun and plenty of audience participation! And….it’s included in your entrance fee! On the 18th-22nd February enjoy Jugglestruck! Folly Farm’s magic shows really are a magical addition to a day out at the farm! Be amazed by Jugglestruck’s ultra violet illusions and magic tricks!
