The Cliffs of Moher

Let the Irish coast lift you away with these breathtaking views of the North Atlantic with its impressive 14 kilometres of edges along the sea. The most beautiful thing about them is that it hosts a varied flora and fauna that are characteristic of this side of the Atlantic. Such as the Atlantic Puffin, the mysterious Basking Shark and the traditional Irish Hare. But how did it get its name? Well, you would be surprised but these were actually named after a very old fort that was situated on the Hag’s Head.

Surprisingly this state was not originally designed as one back in the 13th century when it was designed and built as a castle. When the architect Richard Cassels came around the 18th century it changed its structure to resemble more of the Palladian style that was in that era. And what a beautiful job he did. With a combination of serene views, engaging history and colourful gardens it’s a must-go when you are in the Dublin Area.

The Book of Kells at Trinity College

One of the most interesting and strange books that have survived the dark ages, This magnifically written and preserved book is actually a bible that contains the 4 gospels of the new testament. The most amazing thing about it is the small drawings that you can find alongside the writings.
