Wales’ Only Crocodile Feeding Experience
You’ll enter ‘Fort Crox’ and get up close and personal with their Caimen Crocodile friends, where you can safely feed them their favourite foods.
Nothing will prepare you for seeing these magnificent animals up close, but you’ll be welcomed by an expert Crocodile Keeper who will give you a full briefing. You’ll also have the chance to learn about the species and ask any questions you like. All this before you climb abooard their feeding bridge, where the crocodiles propel themselves from the water to take their feed from you.
Cost of the experience is £50 for one person, or £75 for two, and includes entry to Plantasia Tropical Zoo.
If the participants are under the age of 16, the price will include entry for one supervising adult. As the supervising adult may need to go behind the scenes, they should not be responsible for other children during the experience.
Experiences are available Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Booking in advance is advisable as opportunities are very limited.
To feed safely, participants must be aged 11+, and height to chest no less than 1.1m. Participants must also be healthy with no conditions that would inhibit feeding safely. Note that crocodiles may be fed fish, rodents or chicks. Please ensure to let them know if you have allergies to these items, or to the disposable gloves.

Zoo Keeper Experience
Join an expert Keeper on a tour of Plantasia Tropical Zoo’s animal collection. You will learn about each of our species, and what the role of a Zoo Keeper entails.
Highlights of the experience include feeding many of our favourites, such as meerkats, tortoise, monkeys, and more.
Cost of the experience is £50 for one person or £75 for two, and includes entry to Plantasia Tropical Zoo.
If the participants are under the age of 16, the price will include entry for one supervising adult. As the supervising adult may need to go behind the scenes, they should not be responsible for other children at the time of experience.
The experience is for individuals aged 6+, and booking in advance is essential.
