Brecon Mountain Railway was built on part of the abandoned Brecon & Merthyr Railway which was originally built in 1859. The railway climbs to Torpantau, high in the Brecon Beacons before returning to Pontsticill Station. Visit the Steam Museum, Children’s Play area and Lakeside Café. At Pant Station we have Tearooms, a Gift Shop and a Workshop. Facilities for disabled passengers including ramps, toilets and an adapted carriage to accommodate wheelchairs.
